The Help Desk in our computer lab is staffed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3:15-5:00 if you need some help getting started.
If you have specific questions or would like some one-on-one help that is more involved, please ask about scheduling a half hour "computer tutor" session!
If you can "hunt & peck" on the keyboard and click with your mouse and you can spend some time reading, please visit our "delicious" account for more great links to some super tutorials (as well as other useful, interesting and some just plain fun stuff!) available online. Our delicious account is organized by keywords (or "tags") and these keywords have been bundled into subject headings. If you look under the subject heading "computer:net:education" there are keywords for tutorials and more. You can practice some "Mousercize" to sharpen your mouse skills or use the typing tutor to hone those keyboarding skills. You might also read through some of the Learn the'Net tutorials on a variety of subjects from setting up an email account to setting up an RSS feed reader (for instance, using google reader to get all your favorite news, blogs and anything else with an "RSS" feed sent straight to your reader. It's like email for everything you read & do on the 'net).
